A brick injected damp course was installed in my property some 15 to 20 years ago. I have bought a damp meter and find that those bricks all still register dampness to varying degrees resulting in rotting skirting boards. The drill holes are still present in the bricks so I presume re-injection wouldn't be too onerous a task. Is there any point in re-injecting the bricks or is there a fundemental problem which I should seek an alternative solution for?

hi, in principle this will work provided that the old drill holes are cemented up. if not the dpc fluid under pressure will escape out of the holes and not penetrate fully into the brickwork. also if the wall is 225mm thick then this should have been drilled from both sides or double drilled externally. if you do inject or not you could additionally tank the internal wall at low level and fix skirting with adhesive to obtain moisture barrier
