Removing set tile adhesive from back of floor tile

by Pete Andrews » Tue Aug 12, 2008 7:33 pm

Hi I am replacing tiles on my bathroom floor with exactly the same type and colour as those fitted. I have removed all the old ones but I do need to use about six of the old ones again. The problem is removing the old adhesive from the back of the tiles this is a real slow process any suggestions for a quick removal. Many thanks Pete

Use a wallpaper stripper to steam it off or a heat gun.

soaking in boiling water helps to loosen it as well. no matter how you go about it, its a miserable job. good luck!
