Shower tray in new bathroom

by woodnut78 » Tue Dec 02, 2008 5:16 pm

Hello guys

Im going to be fitting a new walk in shower tray / glass. Would you reccomend tiling the walls then putting the tray in or put the tray in then tile to the tray?
Thanks for any assistance

Absolutely always fit the tray, seal with silicone, tile, then seal again. The tiling to the tray is an essential part of the water proofing process.

Tiling then fitting the tray afterwards, I guarantee will leak and what if the wall is not square? You will have a big gap to fill at one end.
