I have seen houses that are on the outskirts of town or in the country that have had problems with mains voltages fluctuating. Generally, though, modern supplies are clean and stable.

If it is the same light fitting that has the problem, it may be the bulb or fitting is overheating and causing the problem.

If the problem is effecting all lights then unless anyone else in the street has complained of the same problem, I would suggest it may simply be pure coincidence and all the bulbs are reaching the end of their life span at the same time.

Are these incandescent bulbs or low energy?
