External Flue

by JayMusgrave » Thu Dec 18, 2008 12:37 pm

We have a fire place but no working chimney or stack apparently i collapsed and the stack was taken down.

Anyway I think the cheapest and less instrusinve option would be to install an external flue through the wall to outside and up to the roof. Has nyone any advise or experience of this? Can it be done by a good DIYer?

thanks

Hi Jay,

You could go for a balanced flue type fire,if the wall is external.
