Concrete or suspended floor........ Help, advice, information, answers and tips on all types of flooring from laminate and carpet to timber and vinyl

I'm having a new single storey extension built at the side of my house and I'm curious as to why builders are all suggesting a concrete floor. Is there a reason why?

Can someone enlighten me?

Quicker and cheaper but may need ducts if adjoining floors are suspended.
