Laying new Vinyl on top of old vinyl?

by Nichola Dare » Mon Dec 29, 2008 12:31 am

We want to replace the vinyl floor covering in our kitchen but would like to know if we can lay 'new' over 'old'. The old vinyl is undamaged, flat and EXTREEEEEEMLY well stuck down.

Nichola Dare,
Success will depend on whether the existing vinyl is the cushion floor type.
If you are fitting a one piece sheet why not try it without glueing it down. If this does not work then you will have to remove the old vinyl.
