I currently have a washing machine which is connected with both hot and cold water.
I am about to fit a dishwasher too and this requires only a hot feed. How do i split my hot water feed so that both dish washer and washing machine get a feed?

I was assuming i would fit a tee piece from the current hot water feed to the dishwasher but when i went to the hardware store i could not find a splitter that would do the job..

Can anyone point me in the direction of what i might need?

Are you sure it a hot only feed you need ? it would normally be hot and cold or just cold.

It's a eay enough job for a competent DIYer, you either tee into the copper pipe with:

or a tee piece and standard val;ve.

or use :

screws onto existing valve then the two appliance hoses screw on too.

Its only got 1 inlet hose and its got a red end on it so i assume thats a hot feed...

It is not usual to have a hot feed to a dish washer for two reasons: cold water is required for the condensing cycle of the wash, to help dry the plates etc and hot water may be fed from a tank in the loft, where all sorts of things get into the water.

While the temperature of a wash cycle will kill most of the bugs, it is not good practice to use a hot feed.
