fitting a booster pump

by gjdicks » Wed Dec 31, 2008 5:58 pm

I want to fit a booster pump to boost the flow of water to my mixer shower but my shower is in an awkward place to be adding a booster so I wanted to know if the booster has to be fitted right next to the shower or can it be fitted in a free space away from the shower and if so is there a maximum distance away from the shower before it becomes usless???????

Pumps should be installed near to the supplies not the mixer shower so they can pump to the shower not suck to the shower. This usually means them being sited next to the hot water cylinder in the an airing cupboard which in turn won't be far away from the cold header tank.
