hot water but no rads

by stephenj » Thu Jan 01, 2009 9:56 pm

hot water heats up fine but no heating. have replaced hallway thermostat and the pump. i am able to get the rads warm by manually moving the threeway valve lever. i have also replaced threeway valve motor but to no avail. with heating selected the hall thermostat will click when adjusted but the pump and valve do nothing.
please help as its getting very cold.
thanks :(

You don't mention a time clock. Either this is faulty or you have a problem with the wiring. Really you need an electrical tester to help identify the problem rather than just stabbing in the dark by replacing parts.

Give more information about type of system. What type of programmer? Type of hall stat? Cylinder stat? Make of TPV?
