I have just bought a terrace house and the windows have all been replaced recently. The windows have not been finished off and there are gaps varying from 5mm to 25mm all around the wooden windows, this is also around the front door frame. I was wondering how to fill this in. Do i use bits of brick and cement in and around, or can i use expanding foam and mastick to finish?! Some other way maybe?

I assume that they have fitted the windows and door correctly?
If they have then the most secure way to finish them is to carefully pack the holes with mortar, this will joint the frames to the wall and make it more difficault for them to be knocked down.
If you don't care to use this method, then using a low expanding foam will do the job better from a heat loss point of view. Then plaster up to the frames.

Where can I find some of that LOW expanding foam and how much does it cost for a can? Arer there different brands? Thanks

Just enter low expansion foam on Google.
Its about £4 a can.
You can get it from Toolstation and I think Screwfix.
