room divider

by axiom » Thu Mar 20, 2008 6:31 pm

Hi
I am trying to seperate part of my living room off with some sort of folding or sliding door.
After hunting the internet I can either find the ones Im intersted in but they are just standard door size or anything else seems to be really expensive.
Can anyone advise me of the easiest and cheapest way I can install some sort of folding/sliding door.
Someone told me to use Louvre doors but how would I go about fitting these , can they attach to some sort of runner?
Any help of how to do this and where I can purchase the materials needed from would be greatly appreciated. This will be my first DIY project so nothing too technical please.
The space I need to fit this is roughly 140 inches
Thanks

I am thinking of doing something similar and was looking at the room dividers in B&Q. Although they are only 8' wide, maybe these would be OK for your project?
