Can anyone help me out? I live in Swindon, Wilts and I think I need a damp course. Does anyone know of anyone who can help me with a repetable company who wont rip me off and do the job quicly and efficiently who gives free quotes for the job? :(

I would greatly appreciate you advice on the above. How long after a damp proof course is completed can I decorate, and what is the best way. I just want my walls painted. The decorated used lining paper, however due to problems we have ceased decorating. He is due back to finish, and I need to inform him on how it should be done. I hope to hear from someone soon. New plaster after remedial dpc should be left bare for a minimum of 6 weeks. Then only a matt emulsion should be used to allow the wall to continue drying. After 12 months you can decorate how you wish.
