Position of range cooker

by gillyroo » Tue Jun 10, 2008 11:13 am

I want to install a range cooker, and create a mantel around it by placing a dresser type unit each side with a wide bridging unit above (which will house the extractor). My question is, how far from the edge of the cooker do the side units need to be? I know the space required above, but not to the side. Thanks

Check with the installation manual, but most range cookers like ordinary ovens are designed to be "built in" and the cupboards can actually touch the sides of the cooker.
