Air locks? Help, advice and problem solutions on all aspects of home appliances from washing machines to TV's

Hi. My bath cold tap only dispenses water after a couple of turns. Now my overbath shower is doing the same. Is this to do with airlocks? What do I do?

I've found it has tended to be sticking washers in the tap that causes this.

Do you get air bursts before or with the water?

Not that I've noticed. Just nothing....until the water decides to come! But sticking washers does sound quite logical. So thanks for that. Any other ideas welcome!
