filling over nails

by kymrobinson » Tue Jan 20, 2009 11:56 am

I have a quite a new house and have not had to decorate as yet. We have been here 5 years now and i am just starting to decorate. All the nails in the celing plasterboards are showing through and the plaster over the rest is bulging and cracking. Obviously when the house was built they nails weren't treated before they were plastered over.
What do i treat them with-It used to be PVA- is that still recommended

I'd get a little tin of stainstop and dab it over the nail spots with a small brush. As for cracks - bit of filler, allow to dry and sand down.
