im planning on putting a radiator in my new conservatory problem is i have all concrete floors can anyone tell me how deep the pipes need to be buried in the floor?
Regulations no state that pipes in floors must be in accessible ducts. This means that a plywood duct sould be made and a lid screwed to it. The pipe sits in the duct and need be no more than 30mm deep with the lid of the duct forming part of the floor surface.
ok thanks now can anyone advise me how i go about doing this because im having laminate flooring throughout the front room and new conservatory this will be laid on top of the concrete floor so what do i do with the pipe work for rad if it needs to accesable
heating pipes can be buried in concrete, make sure you wrap the pipes in denso tape or something similar to prevent corrosion. About 2"- 3" below surface will be adequate.
