securing hob splash back

by diy rob » Wed May 23, 2007 6:17 pm

I'm about to fit our new kitchen. Having received the polished splash back for behind the hob I'm left unsure as to the best way as to secure it to the wall.?
It's come with a sheet of MDF of the same size?
Is this screwed to the wall first then the splash back simply glued onto it or what.?

Rob.

Usually yes Rob although its possible most of the time to fix the splashback directly to the wall with either Gripfil ( See our adhesives used at home project) or a good sealant.
