correct mortar joint thickness

by mortarboard » Fri Jun 27, 2008 12:45 pm

Could anyone tell me the correct (Building Control) width for mortar joints for dense concrete and lightweight blocks (215x440x100)? Someone suggested min 5mm and max 10mm but that seems a bit thin... Thanks
