Virginia Creeper /Ivy stickers on render - how to cover?

by Erod » Wed Sep 12, 2007 9:03 am

I have a large area of white painted rendered wall and need help with Virginia Creeper and ivy sticky pads:
I am dealing with two white painted rendered walls which has previously been covered with virginia creeper / ivy and therefore has all the little black spots where the sticky feet made contact with the wall. All plant material has been removed but removing the black spots would require removing the current surface which is not very practical.
Will masonry paint cover these black spots properly or does anyone have any experience on removing them / covering them?

Thanks
