Can I seal the cavity?

by cdb2 » Wed Mar 19, 2008 9:21 pm

I have a 1992 two bed semi and have recently had rats in the attic. The cavity in the roof is sealed at the back of the house with bricks (by the builders) but partly open at the front. Where it was part open I have put mesh in and covered it with expanding foam effectively sealing up the cavity. Is it ok to seal the cavity or should I now be drilling holes in the expanding foam? Thank you.
