:( please help

my bathroom consists of a large shower and wash basin, window and extractor fan.
Tiles floor to ceiling, and new plastered ceiling.

Hence painted ceiling with viynil silk paint and over the last 12 months it has peeled if in large patches and black in corners. The ceiling gets wet like most bathrooms but why this ??
I am going to remove this paint and redo the ceiling but paint with WHAT?
