protection of rainwater drain from root invasion Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

Hello,
Putting in a rainwater drain with steep gradient near a hedge (unavoidable) - is there any way to protect 100mm pvc pipe
from from root invasion in the years to come?

Trees searching for water will direct there roots to leaking joints. If the drains are sound, then roots do not penetrate drains. This is problem with old clay drains, plastic drainage systems are more durable and will flex a little with the ground.

I would use a plastic drainage system, make sure all joints are sound, and all should be ok.
