Edges of vinyl flooring

by Sagalout1954 » Tue Aug 12, 2008 3:36 pm

Had vinyl flooring fitted in bathroom, round some of the edges where it meets the skirting there are slight gaps. maybe fitter wasn't so hot!

Tried filling a small section with silicone filler with one of those 'gun' things but very messy. Any ideas other than putting beading and painting it white like the skirting (bit like you might have with laminate).

Silicone probally best idea, but there is a knack to it, remember to have hole size on cartridge just a little bigger than gap, run even lines, leave about 2/3 mins then wet finger with soap water and smooth in.

if you are not too hot with the gun, mask it off first and remove tape soonest when sealer has been applied
