Filling gaps in floorboards

by lukemartyn78 » Tue Jan 13, 2009 1:25 pm

Hi,

I'm planning on sanding down the floorboards in my front room this weekend. Having read some of the posts regarding filling and gaps between the boards I think I'll be using nespaper to 'plug' any big gaps before applying either a wood filler or pva/sawdust methods.

One question - should I be filling the gaps prior to sanding the floors in order to achieve a snooth finish all over or should I sand the floors first in order to get some saqdust of the correct colour??

Thanks
