Please could somebody give me some advice on how to stop my stairs from creaking. I cannot gain access to my stairs from underneath to strengthen them from there so the only option I see I have is to screw them down. I have scewed each stair down in about 4 places along the riser on each stair but this has not stoped the creaking.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unless you can find the answer in our creaking floors and stairs project you need to get access from underneath.

Try useing a bead of no nails or pannel adhesive squeezed between the tread and the riser and the string to take up any gaps
Not 100% but may allow you to creep in and not wake the misses
after a late night out
