demolishing of a garage

by ali1998 » Fri May 25, 2007 9:04 am

Hi,

I am after some information reagrding demolishing a garage. We think the concrete it is made from may house asbestos and are just wondering how to go about safetly dismantlling it and disposing of it.
Have been told we could do it ourselves as long as we have the right equipment, but just wondering how we would dispose of it in a safe manner. I would be greatful if anyone could offer any advice.

Thanks

Its very unlikely that the concrete will contain asbestos but that is not to say that other parts, eg the roof, will not. Talk to your local council about disposal there are special sites for it.
