Tumble Dryer venting length?

by claretgeoff » Wed Jan 28, 2009 11:13 am

Hi,

Recently got a new kitchen ordered with appliances, all delivered today, however what was supposed to be an integrated condensing tumble dryer has turned out to be a integrated vented tumble dryer. The company dosen't stock the condensing version, so not much I can do bar send it back for refund and get one myself, or try and fit it.

What is the maximum length I could run the ducting to for it to still be effective? I would be running it along an internal wall, then a 90 degree angle across another wall, totalling about 3 metres.
Would this still work or would it be too long?

Thanks :)

claretgeoff,
Should be fine but read the instructions. If they suggest 100mm duct then go up one size to reduce resistance.
end
