Our home has had a pamp proof course done, the guarentee is not valid as the damp has reappeared on an adjoining wall. This had spread along the whole adjoining wall, that is two rooms, and the dividing wall for my kitchen. No damp is present on any exterior wall. We have no mould or fungus appearing and as the adjoining wall is the fire breast wall we checked our roof and chimney, which are both in good condition. We hope to apply a course ourselves very quickly, as we are having another child soon. Do we have to apply the material to our neighbours side of the wall too? or will a large application from our side be enough to penetrate a solid brick wall. Do we have to damp proof behind our fireplace too?
