Hot water but cold radiators

by bowler » Wed Feb 11, 2009 8:05 am

A few weeks ago the pilot light on Glowworm Economy Plus 50B began going out. The local plumber changed the thermocouple, then the boiler stat, and as we had a noisy pump we had that changed also. The same evening the pilot light went out and has done many times since.
The boiler temp gauge is on 2, (but behaves the same whatever setting), the Wilo pump is on 3 and I have a Horstmann digital room stat.
The boiler, when working has produced hot water and heating ok, but is now heating the cylinder (set at 55) then cutting out without heating the radiators and as often than not the pilot light goes out too. If the boiler has just cut out I can get it to cut back in by increasing the temp on the cylinder but still will not heat the radiators.
Any help would be appreciated
