I'm makin sum shelves in my garage, i'm thinking they are gonna b 2.4m long and 600mm deep! Using 3"x2" cls and ply, not sure what type or thickness of ply to use(do i need wpb,will i need 12 or 18mm thick etc) any advice wud b greatly recieved??

Well I suppoose it depends what you are planning to put on them to a large extent.

Shelves this size are going to need some mahusive brackets to support them and more than 2 as well. I suspect you should be going for 25mm in any event but WPB grade is probably OTT.

What are you intending to store and whats the weight involved and the weight distribution across the shelf?

Just general clutter(various tools and kids toys etc)!
Was planning to plug/screw timber to wall and screw ply to it, then make timber frame at front out of said timber!
Does this sound like it'l work??
What is a manhusive braket?
If not WBP then what?
From what i've said above does it sound like i'l need 25mm thick?

Now thats some big shelves.
As long as you're not planning on storing exceptionally heavy items on them, a well framed and supported 18mm ply will be perfectly adequate, and just normal Far Eastern ply'll do the job just fine.

Have seen some 600mm x 2m x 18mm chipboard sheets in wickes for £7 each!! As i'm notplanning on the shelves getting wet will these be suitable/strong enough??
