We removed a radiator in bathroom.Had a problem with capping of the pipe so had to shut of the water system & drain tanks in the loft ( we have a oldish gravity system). Capped pipe of, turned water back on & now have nothing coming out of hot taps, up or downstairs.. there is water in tanks in the loft .. any ideas > >

make sure all valves are turned on, check ball valve isn't stuck in tank in loft. Push the ball valve down by hand and the tank should fill. If all this is ok get a cutting of garden hose about 18" long and open hot tap, place hose on hot and cold tap and hold in place whilst turning on cold tap. This will clear any air locks, all your doing is back filling the hot water pipes, from the cold water supply
