Hot water supply inadequate and intermittent from combi

by cenedra40 » Mon Feb 16, 2009 9:00 pm

we moved into a detached bungalow just over a year ago, water is heated by a worcester combi boiler (no hot water tank) when running baths the water runs hot and cold on and off and often even when only running the hot tap the bath is only just hot

any idea what the issue might be or is this normal for this type of boiler? We came from a new house before and it's like stepping into the arctic in this house!

souds like its due for a good service and a check over with the gas working pressures etc and i should get the engineer to check the plate heat exchanger as it does sound like its getting clogged up and need descaling etc
