heated towel rail

by Ronniev » Tue Feb 17, 2009 3:20 pm

Hi
Need to know whether its possible to plumb a heated towel rail into the top of the existing rad in the bathroom?

Thanks for the answers. I have an electrically heated towel rail directly above the bathroom rad. The towel rail and the rad are no large enough to heat the bathroom on their own, hence the question can the two be plumbed in series or do I need to replace both?

Just replace the existing rad with a new towel rail. The towel rail will give you enough heat in the room as well as warming your towels.

Towel rails give out a trifling amount of heat for their size.

How do you mean "plumb in to the top of a radiator"? Actually physically connect into the existing radiator? IF so then probably not, but it might work a little though I have never seen it done or ever tried it! Certainly not recommended.

Do you mean something like this :

You can buy one's as above or you could make one with chrome pipe if you're handy with tools, other than that you either have a radiator or a towel rail.
