Demolish Garage on end of garage block

by alvinmsss » Tue Feb 24, 2009 10:16 am

We have a garage which is on the end of a block of garages. We want to demolish the garage but are concerned about planning. We have advice from planning that in principal demolishing a garage does not require planning but our concern is the shared wall with the garage next door. Do we need planning because of that ?

I'd suggest you ask planning.

Cheers

We did ask planning and they were suitable vague. You don't need it but you "might" need approval from the owner of adjoining garage.

I can't see your last post yet, but it sounds more like you would need building control approval for it that planning. Best ask them
