Hello Guys

I have just moved house which has a Glowworm 30sxi sealed system installed.

I wish to de-pressurise the system so I can "T" off the bath pipes and install a shower over the bath. When the system is not bleeding water all over the place my plumbing is not too bad and I am competant to carry out the work, what worries me is the pressure in the system.

Is there a simple tap that I use, then drain the remaining pressure. Or is it a convoluted shut down and restart system?

The installer should probably have left labels on all the valves.

More often than not you will find one labelled "hot and cold off". Just close that and you can work on your pipes quite happily without draining the cylinder.

Thanks Rosebery I will go and have a look to see if the installer did in fact mark up all the valves, he certainly left all theinstaller paperwork screwed up behind the cyclinder :lol:

On an unvented sealed system - just by turning the ISV off under the sink (or where ever it is located) should stop all hot and cold water.

To reduce system pressure - bleed at any rad until no more water comes out.
