Can I lay a hearth on top of laminate?

by Emma-Jane » Tue Mar 03, 2009 9:17 am

Hi All

We have a marble fireplace being delivered tomorrow night. We currently have a concrete floor but intend to lay laminate. The hearth has a slight curve and so I wondered if it might be easier to lay it on top of the laminate floor? Does the hearth have to be layed on concrete?

Any advice would be great!

Thanks

Do not lay it on the laminate. Cut the laminate to fit afterwards.

The hearth should go straight on the concrete.

Cheers
