Gap around the glass?

by CarlP » Sat Feb 14, 2009 3:13 pm

Should I have a small gap around the glass edge in a double glazed unit?

I have just removed the beading from a window and all but one side meet the frame - this window has actually misted hence the reason for trying to replace it.

Also any Idea of where I could get fresh beading from?

CarlP,
There should be a gap all round the DGU and setting blocks should be fitted at strategic positions aroung the frame.
A local glazing firm should be able to supply you replacement beading but take a sample so you get the same section.
