Bad smell throughout downstairs - HELP!!! Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

We've been experiencing a horrible smell downstairs - source seems to be one particular corner of kitchen for last month or so. Concrete floors under kitchen, bathroom downstairs fitted with durgo valve. Called out drain company who used cameras and cleared some backed up sewage, but smell remains. Comes in wafts from kitchen through living room - but don't get the smell in the bathroom. Kitchen wall is adjacent to bathroom. Hubby thinks could be durgo valve, but my feeling is we'd still get smell in bathroom if it was. At a complete loss!!! Also read a few similar posts which said sewage gas can be poisonous/explosive and so panicking slightly. Don't know who else (professionals) to call next. Anyone got any suggestions?

Remove kicker boards and see whats under your kitchen cupboards.

If the Dirgo is leaking, the smell would be in the room where it is fitted.

Don't forget the kitchen waste goes to the sewer too, and the connection may be open allowing the smells to escape. Do as Stoneyboy says, and follow the pipes from the sink and washing machine (if fitted).

Thanks stoneyboy and plumbbob. We have at least narrowed down the main area for the source of the smell - behind kitchen cupboards, on the wall between kitchen/bathroom and extension - which is opposite wall to kitchen sink and accompanying waste pipes.

We are now getting the smell in the bathroom and although it could be my imagination, I reckon its worse when the toilet has been flushed.

We have called the plumber who fitted the dirgo valve and he's coming out tomorrow. Wish us luck! We're hoping this is the source/cause - even though it means knocking a hole in the wall (chest height) in our extension to get to the dirgo valve (its located between the old exterior wall and the new wall built when our extension was built).
