Two questions on the same issue

I have a 1/2" rising main (flat built in 50's) with 15mm pipe distribution. Is there such a thing as a 1/2" * 15mm stop cock with compression fittings & where could I buy one from??? A professional has told me no but I would like to check, If not is there an adaptor that would convert 1/2" to 15mm

Would the existing rising main be likely to be concreted into the floor / raft foundation or would come thro some form of conduit up thro the concrete raft ? as I would like to replace the whole supply pipe for say 20 or 25mm blue pipe - but that depends on ease.

The professional is correct but he only gave you half the answer. Truth is 15mm is that close to ½ inch that you can use a 15mm comp fitting on the half inch pipe. Yes I know ½inch = 12.5mm but imperial pipes are described by their inside diameter whereas metric ones by their outside diameter.

As far as I'm aware (and google appears to confirm it) 15mm and 1/2" compression fittings are 100% compatible. So a new 15mm stop cock should fit both pipes.

For reference: 22mm and 3/4" would need an adapting olive although the rest of the compression fitting would be the same.

Yes - you use a 3/4 inch olive in the 22mm compression fitting.
