measuring for tiles help Advice and information on tiling and fixing tiles to a variety of surfaces

hi all my first post so please be gentle , just about to re tile the kitchen and due to units ect dont have a full wall to measure so dont know how many new tiles to buy so what ive done is count existing tiles there is 70 tiles each one 300x210 can anyone tell me what that breaks down to in sq mtr ? new tiles are mosaics 330x330

0.3 x 0.21 = 0.06 x 70 = 4.41. But thats only a rough approximation becaue it ignores the grout lines.

Sounds like iro 5m2 to me but then again I haven't actually measured it.

You'll need more of the newer tiles than you think. Biggger tile = more wastage.

If the tiles come in 1m2 boxes buy 5. Allow 10 - 15% extra for wastage then when you've done put one more box in. That allows for mistakes both in measuring and tiling ensuring that all tiles are from the same batch. If you don't need the last box you can take it back for a refund idc. Note its always a good idea to keep some spare to cater for future breakages or whatever.
