Fixing WC pan to floor

by lpg70 » Thu May 31, 2007 10:15 am

We bought a Yubo Jax close coupled concealed cistern in a vanity unit. All installed nicely until we tried to fix it to the floor. The fixing holes are one inch up the main body of the pan and the angle is such that we are unable to drill through the holes. We think the only option is to dismantle and start again, drilling the floor first, but before we do, do you have any advice?

Thanks!

There is a kit you can buy from a good plumber's merchant, which consists of a L-shape bracket,in plastic, which you screw to the floor. You then lift pan into position over brackets, then screw through holes,in pan, horizontally into brackets.
