Kitchen corner wall cupboard fixing

by robb1 » Fri Jun 01, 2007 12:46 pm

Hi
I am installing a wall hung kitchen corner cupboard (from Wickes) as part of a complete kitchen renovation. There are two claw-type mountings, one at each end. I have really solid fixings for the mounting brackets (3" 12s into masonry). However, when I hang the cupboard on the fixing brackets the inside corner of the cupboard (i.e. the point of the corner) sags away from the wall. This is despite the fact that the outside ends are held firmly on the fixings.
Help, what should I do?

Quite a common problem as the fixing brackets never seem to be high enough for corner units Robb. You can move them up or glue a spacer to the back bottom of the unit to push the corner into the wall.
