Re: How can I clean the surface of my silver fridge freezer?

Dear All,

I hope someone out there can help me!!

My fiance and I have just moved into our first house. We were left a brand new fridge freezer (the American style), silver colour - Beko brand.

Last week, my fiance tried to clean the surface of the fridge freezer, using Viakal (yes, Viakal!!) and a cloth. And now our beautifu fridge freezer is covered with ugly "streaking" marks which we just can't seem to remove.

For those of you who don't know what Viakal is for, it is generally for creating shine to taps /showers by removing limescale!!

I'm quite annoyed at my fiance for using the Viakal on the fridge, as it looks pretty awful now - it was flawless before.

Anyway, it's an accident and we are now trying to sort it out.

Can anyone advice what we can do to get back the original finish?

Thanks so much,
Regards,
Pamela.

Oh dear, ive fallen foul to Viakal myself and its lethal. Can only suggest maybe a cream cleaner with soft cloth or I find cilit bang is great on anything. For a shine you could try window cleaner spray - brings most surfaces up shiny

When you describe the fridge as silver, do you mean the painted grey/silver, or the stainless steel silver?

White Spirit , excellent stuff ,use sparingly, but you will have that `just painted`smell for a short while.
