oil burner

I have an oil burner that for some reason cuts itself off every couple days and when i hit the restart button later she fires up again. what could be the problem .A new control box has been fitted, but the problem still exsists.The burner is a riello GB3.Could the the thermostat be faulty ?

Do you mean the boiler "locks out" and has to be reset? Well, to be honest, there could be a whole raft of reasons why, but you haven't given much information for us to work with have you?
