well water pressure

by morris minor » Wed Apr 15, 2009 8:07 pm

how can I increase the water pressure from a tank that is fed from a well via a tank in the loft which is about 30 feet from the top of the loft foor to the washing machine filler tap. the pump feeding the loft has a lift of over 30 meters. Would a pressure vessel do the job and if so how and where should it be fitted.

I've read this post several times, and I can't actually understand for sure what you are trying to do.

I assume the water from the well is reaching and filling the loft tank ok? The problem then is the low water pressure from the tank isn't filling the washing machine?

I presume the storage tank is a traditional open tank? If so, I am not sure how you think a "pressure vessel" might help. Or, indeed, exactly what you mean by a "pressure vessel"?
