Turning off hot water supply

by Edpaterson » Mon Apr 20, 2009 12:39 pm

Hi

I am doing some work on my daughter's house which requires the hot and cold water to be turned off so that I can fit isolating valves for the taps on the kitchen sink. The cold water stopcock is easily accessed but there doesn't seem to be any easy access for the hot water. Recently a combi boiler central heating system was installed - am I right in assuming that turning off the cold water supply will automatically cut off the hot water as well? This assumption is based on the fact that the combi boiler will draw cold then heat it up instantaneously.

Any help much appreciated.

Should do, but test it eh before you attempt anything.
If your not close ask your daughter to test it first.
