BED FITTINGS

by Homecomforts » Thu Apr 23, 2009 11:49 am

I am seeking your help to see if we can locate an unusual nut and bolt fastening.

Our charity runs a Furniture Re-use project Google "chase-cvs.org.uk/projects/view/?id=6" and we take donations of unwanted furniture and supply it to those in most need in the district of Cannock Chase.

We were recently given a large quantity of steel frame bunk beds but they did not come with enough bolts to fit them all together, nor do we know the manufacturer.

7mm Bolt is 8cm long.

‘nut’ has 12mm square shank with slightly bevelled edges.
The circular retaining end section is 17 mm in diameter.

Both nut and bolt are galvanised

Do you know where we might source these? We need 24 fittings for three beds and would then be able to sell on each bed for £15, so the individual cost of the fittings is also significant.

Any help would be gratefully received.

It is difficult to visualise what you are after. Perhaps posting a link to a picture may help with an answer.
