Unvented systems

by rogerlucy » Wed May 06, 2009 7:30 pm

I need to drain down an unvented system: There are a number of gatevalves on the tank. Is it just a case of turning them all off and then draining from a rad, then when done open all the valves to refill and bleed the system?

The unvented tank is for your hot water not your central heating! You don't say what work you intend to do once you have drained it.

I'd really suggest you get yourself a plumber with a G3 ticket.

Cheers
