Hi,
I am partway through building an office/shed in my garden which measures 3.5 x 4.3m.
Dueto planning permission we can only go up to 2.5m as it is right up against our boundary.
Therefore we are looking to put a sloping roof on rather than a pitched one. We are thinking of getting the timbers cut so they are 3" one end going down to nothing.
We will be laying sterling board on top of these timbers and then the material that we choose to waterproof/protect it.
Now the options we have as I see it are:
> Felt
> Corruguated plastic/Bitumen
> Shingles
Do people agree with this?
Questions:
> Are there any other alternatives?
> What is the cheapest?
> Does there have to be a steeper slope to be able to use tiles/shingles?
Any guidance/opinions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Richard
